Serena Sun is an independent artist, songwriter and producer based in Vancouver, Canada. Through her story-driven lyricism, airy vocals and organic emotion-driven production, Serena draws listeners in, giving them a place to confront their feelings head-on through her songs and live performances.

Serena grew up in Vancouver, attended boarding school in New Hampshire, went to university in California, and worked in China and Chile after graduating. A constant uprooting of community left her questioning what mattered in life; those reflections began taking shape in the form of songs and Serena’s artist project was born. She has since independently released numerous singles and two EPs, Shadows on the Ceiling, and For a Moment or Two. 

For the last three years, Serena lived in London, England, where she built an engaged local fanbase and toured Europe. Her forthcoming debut album, Slice of the Sun, is a self-written and produced reflection of that period of change and growth; touching on themes of moving continents, becoming in tune with one’s internal dialogue and missing loved ones. It’s a story of starting over and celebrating the change that comes with it while weighing its costs.
